Golf Recruitment – How You Can Make it to the College Level
If you are trying to get involved in the golf recruitment process and make it to the next level of golf, there are some things you need to be aware of. These keys can make the difference between golfing at the college level or golfing at your local country club for the next four years.
First of all, the golf recruitment process is very competitive. there are thousands of golfers all across the world trying to get into American colleges and universities to play golf on a scholarship. can you blame them? How else can you get a free education and play free golf all the time? Talk about a win-win situation if you love golf.
Second, you must be a well above average golfer to play in college. there are just so many good young golfers out there now that you can’t just be an average golfer and expect college coaches to have an interest in you. Don’t get me wrong, you don’t have to be Tiger Woods or Jack Nicklaus to play in college, but your game must be well above the average high school golfer.
And last, you have to let coaches know about you and what you can do for their golf program. I see so many kids trying to get into the golf recruitment process and they have no clue about how to make it happen. If you are among the best of the best high school golfers, coaches will automatically find you. otherwise, you have to grab their attention and get them interested in you!
Take control of your golf recruitment process by contacting coaches and marketing and promoting yourself to college coaches. If you do, you just might play the game you love at the next level!
