Golf has a well established history in South Africa with proponents such as Gary Player and Ernie Els who represent the country. Both these players have done well over the years to win major championships and tournaments played home and abroad. Examples of these are; the Royal Cape Golf Club, the oldest in the country supplying beautiful scenery and views of Table Mountain and the forest below it. There is also Rondebosch Golf Course located in the picturesque suburb of the same name on the banks of the Black River with its vast assortment of birdlife.

Cape Town extends its splendor from the mountains, beaches, forests and wildlife to the pleasurable sporting arenas of its golf courses.
