Selecting a Golf Bag
Getting a great golf bag has probably more to do with image and confidence than it does your golf game. but if you need to select a golf bag there are some thing to keep in mind. First consider whether or not you will be using a caddie or not. Also consider whether or not you are a walker or a rider since some bags are really only meant to be put behind a golf cart.
Golf bags come a different categories. some of the categories are cart, which we discussed above, travel and staff bags. You will find them named different depending on who you talk to but the uses are the same. The staff is probably the most used one due to the construction and pockets. some may call a staff bag tour, regardless the bags hold up to fourteen golf clubs and have lots of extra room for the extras you need to bring with you out to the golf course. Due to all the room and the ability of space these are bigger bags and usually are used for golfers that prefer caddies.
Golfers that prefer to walk and don’t care to have a caddie will typically go with a travel type. this type of is excellent for those golfers who prefer to walk on the golf course for nice or eighteen holes. Plus these types of golf bags are easy for traveling and fit nicely into most golf travel cases. Another plus to these types of bags is that they are much cheaper than the staff bags. Due to the fact that these bag are smaller you won’t get as much room as a full sized staff bag.
Finally we have the cart golf bag. this type, as the name states are meant to be strapped in behind a golf cart. Cart bags can be even a little bit larger than the staff or tour bag and thus you can pack a lot more in them and thus the need to have them behind a cart. The great thing about these bags is you can stay organized with all your golf supplies and pretty much have jackets and back up items in case something breaks or malfunctions. If you take the time to shop around you can get a pretty good deal on these types of bags. Again before going out and spending your hard earned cash on a golf bag figure out what you will be doing on the course, walking with your bag, carting it or utilizing a caddie.
