Having said that, here are 5 neat tips for you to consider:

Neat tip one: Before you buy any equipment first sit down and work out your budget. Because you have to outlay some money with your fees, shoes and clubs, books and much more, it will be better to know upfront what you are in for. If you know someone who is a golfer then get them to help you where needed.

Neat tip two: When if comes to taking lessons, rather go with a group that is more or less at the same level as you. It is always better to start off in a group because you can build up your confidence and get great tips as well. After a few group lessons, you can upgrade to private lessons with the club’s pro golfer. These lessons do not come cheap so get your basic lessons in first.

Neat tip three: You must have heard the saying “practice makes perfect”, well it is true. In your spare time concentrate on your technique as much as possible, and brush up on golf terminologies as well. To help you with this you can buy good instructional videos from the internet or from your golf store.

Neat tip five: It takes a lot of time and physical effort to play golf. Try to get fit before you start. Many people give up too soon because they can’t walk so far or they have problems with their feet. So try to eat healthy, drink plenty of water on the course to keep you hydrated and use a strong sun block for your nose.

Golf is a mental game more so than a physical one. You will be challenged by this small white ball which will leave you frustrated at times and stimulated and happy at others.

True enough, in the sport of golf, the more experience you have, the more you will learn.

Learning From Failure

Speaking of failure, a lot of people normally associate this with a bad recognition. In the game of golf, failure is considered to be path to triumph. That is why golf lessons emphasize on how you can pick yourself up from your mistakes. Failure in itself is not beneficial. Improve Your Golf Game With The Best Golfing Tips Available Online

Golf is a sport that requires a lot of mental capability and physical strength. At first glance, a lot of people will say that golf is a sport that does not require strengthening workouts and muscle training. Additionally, people also think that it is a sport that’s entirely centered on precision. To an extent, that declaration is true. However, you also have to put in mind that golf can be long and tiring, hence the need for strengthening and workouts. With that in mind, prior to undertaking your golf game, make sure that you spend ample time on a driving range. You can also spend some time in the gym so that you can strengthen specific muscle groups to be able to capitalize on your strokes. What you are aiming for is muscle memory. This is when your muscles know what they’re intended to do simply by instinct. This though, entails a lot of practice and persistence. You can either enroll in golf lessons or if you are trying to save some money and you just want to do everything on your own, you can just purchase a golf instruction book.

No matter what you prefer, what’s important is that you prepare yourself before an actual game. That way, you know what to expect and what to do. Here are some golfing tips that you can make use of in order to save a couple of strokes in your game.

Driving

Essentially, there isn’t one stroke that’s on top of any other in golf. Driving, putting, ironing, and pitching are all equally important. When you’re driving, you have to set the pin around two inches off the ground. As you begin to swing, keep your body still but relaxed and don’t get your eyes away from the ball. Just go on with a swing that’s natural and not forceful. A graceful swing will always beat a swing that is assertive and forceful.

Putting

When you are putting, you must read the greens well. You have to learn how fast the greens are, you need to understand the incline, and of course, you need to know how to putt your ball.

Ironing

When using an iron, be sure to keep your body somewhere in the middle of the ball. Search for a comfortable and a firm position prior to hitting the ball. Try to relax by making a few practice swings before doing the actual swing.

Pitching

Pitching is best done when you grip the club at mid position. Likewise, just like the other swings you need to relax, take deep breaths, and swing gracefully to your designated target.

You Should Practice More Than You Play

Golf, a dexterity sport.
Image via Wikipedia

When a person loves the game of Golf, it is sometime hard to practice. Yes, you really should practice more than you play. But, did you ever go to the course to practice, and before you know what happened you are teeing up on one. It has happened to me countless times.

If you are happy with the scores you make now, with little to no practice, great. The thing with golf is, if you made Par on every hole, why not go for Birdie on every hole. The point is, no matter where your game is, it can get better. The only way to get better is practice. Going to the driving range to bang a bucket of balls once a year is not practice. To really practice, you need to hit the ball on grass with unlevel lies,  get in a sand trap and hit balls out until they go to the pin or spend three hours putting on the practice green.

The practice required is not something that works in one or two sessions. It is a never ending cycle of striving for perfection. I think the best practice session is to play an instructional round with your pro. However, the next best thing is to play a practice round by your self. Go out when there are not many people on the course, play a round hitting three or four balls for every shot. This will show you what you need to work on to improve your game. Hitting a good tee shot is good, but stay in the box and try for a tight grouping of four on every hole.

When you do play a round, take a small not book to keep a record of the best and the worst of your shots.  Keep a record of your number of putts, how many fairways you hit or how many greens in regulation. The more details the better. Use the notes to work up a practice schedule. Try this and you will see your scores go down and your enjoyment of the game go up.
