You’ll also need to ramp up your level of activity. Take a nice long walk after dinner and slowly increase your pace each day.

Even though you may have high blood pressure, you can effectively manage hypertension through a combination of prescription medicines geared to your particular needs and following a healthy diet and exercise routine. While you can’t change factors such as your age and genetic make-up, with a healthy lifestyle, you don’t need to let hypertension control your life.
