When you first start playing Golf, it is “OK” to pick-up the Rules from your friends. However, when you decide Golf is your game you need to know “The Rules of Golf”. “The Rules of Golf” is the official rule book of Golf. You should acquire a current copy from the United States Golf Association, it is free with your membership. No question about it, you should join and support the USGA.

The USGA has the rules available online at www.usga.org. If you do not have a copy go to the site and start learning the rules until your copy arrives. The rule book recommends that you have a copy in your golf bag when you play. I think that the first rule should require every golfer to have a copy and know “The Rules of Golf”.

Knowing the rules is critical to enjoying the game. Golf Lessons Store will not provide copies of the rules. The USGA does a great job on their site, go there, join and learn “The Rules of Golf”.
